Herring is one of delicious fish species that is consumed as raw, smoked and pickled. It is a magnificent source of vitamins A, D and B12. It also rich in Omega 3 fatty acids.

We use selected high quality fish from Iceland and Norway for producing all oil, pickle and salad groups of LATIS preserves.
In order to save all nutrition mineral value of the fish and its original taste we never use thermal processing for any of our preserves. The selected herring fillets are salted without any intensifiers in order to keep their elasticity so that the fish does not get pulpy. The high-refined oil we use for processing our preserves contains no flavor and zero cholesterol.
